Cobra ESD9220WX Cobra ESD 9220WX Radar Detector

I’d been eyeing this unit for a couple of months now but did not want to pay the $130 price tag. For some reason the price dropped $50, not sure why this unit dropped in price so much…I got it for $80. Unit seems to work pretty well. I upgraded from a ESD-6700 that gave 3 years of good use b/f giving in to the Texas heat. The display is a lot easier to read in the day and the voice seems more refined (more lady like, too bad I can’t record my wife”s voice into the unit. She’s use to telling me how to drive). The weather radio feature is nice, but there is a lot of static. The casing of the unit seems much more solid that past detectors I’ve owned and it is twice as heavy as the ESD-6700. Although I’m still yet to encounter a police car I can say that after driving around Houston I don’t get any falsing. My ESD-6700 performed flawlessly for over 3 years and saved me many times. This unit seems to behave the same as that one. Other than that so far so good…

A good detector for the price Uniden LRD777 Radar Detector

I bought this radar detector a few months ago. I must admit that its looks had some influence on my purchase. It looks more like decoration on my dash than a radar detector. I could also tell that the display was large and easy to read in the store, and it said it detected virtually everything known to man. All of that combined with a low price made buy the LRD777 as soon as my awful detector broke.

This one really gets your attention!! Cobra ESD 6000 Radar Detector

We purchased this radar detector at Price Costco for a really reasonable price of about $49.00. From the time you plug it in and hear it state "system ready" to the time you are driving down the highway and it says "Be careful VG2 alert!", this detector gets your attention! With many varied warnings that are first stated and followed by a series of beeps that increase in frequency with the relation to the radar it is detecting, you learn to rely on this detector while you are driving. We haven’t been stopped or ticketed since we bought it!! I would recommend this radar detector to anyone who needs a little warning to slow down when police are around.

If your a Speeder, YOU need This Toy!! Cobra ESD 9200 Radar Detector

I was other reviews on the ESD-9200 which seems like no one likes it. I’ve owned several Radar Detectors which includes many ’s, Bel’s, and others. The 9200 really is a great radar. If your a speeder like me then you need this little toy. This isn’t the newest radar out but it is pretty close to being the best. I bought my for $109 at Best Buy when it was on SALE! I know it usually retails for $129 but I got it for a deal. I like the Voice Alert and 360 Degree radar. The best option on the radar though would have to be the Auto-Mute function. All my friends own junky radar detectors and if a Cop is following you and the radar starts going off then it gets really annoying after a while. With this new Radar it has an Auto mute function to warn you for about a minute or two and then it quiets down making it so much more better. I recommend this for a Birthday present or even an everyday gift for teenagers or other speeders.

A 980/970 alternative for the NAME… Beltronics BEL 890 Radar Detector

for the past years has produced Second rate detectors but at reasonable prices. Fighting for first Honors in the Detector Market, has put out many models to coupe with changes in the Police Traffic Enforcement Realm.

In the early 90s’, had put out a 966ST. This unit provided Good X band, Strong K band, put fair Ka Photo protection. At this time 34.7GHz Radar guns were only 5-10% of the market. Because Ka band is becoming a feared tool for Police, produced the 645STi/745STi. Both unit provided fair X band, Strong K and Ka band performance but only adequate Photo Radar.

Collossal waste of money Cobra ESD 9200 Radar Detector

I bought a radar detector to avoid the "nothing better to do" police officers in my town. This detector has everything, it detects this and it detects that. OH and it even speaks to you. However, this thing does NOT work.

Ever since I paid the $119 bucks for this, I have recieved a $245 dollar speeding ticket, and my auto insurance has gone up a whopping 15%.

Great for the price Cobra ESD 9110 Radar Detector

This was my first ever radar detector. I loved it. Worked well on the highway. One time i was driving up a hill and the k band went off. I heeded the warning and came over the hill and there was a speed trap. That made me felt good! lol….Only reason i got rid of it was that i got a better price on a 9860 that has a compass…very cool. I normally depended on my eyes while on trips, but there was no way i could have saw this coming over the hill…get this product (unless you got the money for the 9860)

Very Good Radar Detector Beltronics Vector 940 Radar Detector

Over the years I have had radar detectors by , and . The 940 surpasses all previous detectors. I have gotten fewer false signals, greater range and earlier warnings with the 940.

The 940 is what I consider a mid-priced detector. It surpasses less expensive detectors as expected. One great aspect though, is that the 940 keeps pace with more expensive detection units. I have a friend with the 985 and we ran the detectors simultaniously and we found no real detection advantage of one over the other. Sometimes his 985 picked up the signal first sometimes my 940 was first to the punch. Considering the 985 retails for $100 more, that the 940 keeps pace is really nice. My brother has an . The same test was done with the same results. Considering the is $100 more expensive it is a feather in the 940’s cap to keep up.
