Aside from trying to find an authorized dealer in the United States. They make it 100% clear by providing the “unauthorized” list of dealers and not focusing on providing a positive buying experience for potential customers. If you go to the www.beltronics.com website, you will not find anything on authorized distributors. You need to go to the www.beltronicspro.com website to find a tiny size 1 font labeled dealer embedded on the bottom link choices. From there you can find an “authorized dealer” in your state. That is exactly what I did. I did my due diligence, selected an “authorized dealer” selling on Ebay and purchased two units in September of 07. In January of 08, the RX-65 just died. I sent in proof of purchase from an “authorized dealer” listed on their www.beltronicspro.com website and they denied my warranty. I was asked to provide a $60.00 payment option to fix my 4 month old dead RX65. The explanation was that RBA Electronics(who is listed on their website) was not an authorized dealer. I called RBA to confirm and they happily asked me to send it in and they would replace it with a new one, no problem. As soon as I get my replacement back, I’m selling it on Ebay and buying a Passport.

I will never do business with this despicable company again. It’s unfortuneate, they have a good product. Not good enough to treat their customers like crap though. They do not stand behind their product unless they can control where you purchase it. Extremely difficult company to deal with.
