I tried this unit for two weeks. During that time I encountered 4 police radar traps. In each situation I saw the cruiser before the radar detector went off. One area that I travel regularly uses a mobile speed measurement sign to let drivers know their speed. The system uses K-band and the detector did not go off until I was less than 50 yards form the device but it had been measuring my speed for at least 100 yards.

On the plus side the unit virtually did not false alarm. I liked the design of the text display.

The unit has the ability to turn many of the features on or off but does not have memory to keep the settings between power cycles.

I returned this unit for a refund.
